A Russian nuclear-powered submarine has left Cuba ahead of military exercises in the Caribbean.
Russia’s K-561 Kazan, a Yasen-class cruise missile submarine, arrived at the port of Havana along with other warships on June 12th.
The fleet is made up of the missile submarine, a frigate, an oil tanker, and a rescue tug and had been conducting missile drills in the Atlantic Ocean.
Crowds of residents and tourists flocked to see the fleet which stayed at the port for five days, just 90 miles from Florida.

The attack killed at least 12 civilians and injured more than 20 people, according to the White Helmets.
Meanwhile, Syrian and Russian jets continued to launch deadly strikes in the northwest of Syria on Monday, as Syrian rebels steadily advance through the country after seizing the second largest city, Aleppo.
The Syrian army and Russia denied attacking civilians and said they had targeted insurgent hideouts located mostly in Hama and Idlib.

And then, after Smith’s sudden death in 1994, Prescott was elected as deputy Labour leader with Tony Blair securing the top job.
The two men could not have been more different. Whilst the smooth-talking Blair was the man to relay the New Labour message, the unvarnished Prescott rolled into towns on his battle bus to rally traditional Labour supporters.
