,1,For years, Hungary looked to America as an example of freedom, but now it might be time for the U.S. to take notes from Hungary, according to Shea Bradley-Farrell.
Bradley-Farrell, president of Counterpoint Institute, recently spent several months in Hungary doing research for her new book. While in the nation formerly controlled by the Soviet Union, Bradley-Farrell says she found herself often having a similar conversation with Hungarians.
“Hungarians told me over and over, ‘the rhetoric coming out of the United States reminds us of our Soviet era,’” Bradley-Farrell recalled. “And the more I dug into that, the more that I realized that the things that we’re dealing with here and the so-called progressive agenda, the woke agenda, the Biden administration, they’re directly out of the playbook of communism,” she says.
In her new book, “Last Warning to the West: Hungary’s Triumph Over Communism and the Woke Agenda,” Bradley-Farrell explains a roadmap for how America can correct course and learn from our friends in Hungary at this moment in history.
Bradley-Farrell joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the book and share the stories of conversation she had in Hungary.
,1,Imagine that an organization that brands conservatives and Christians "haters" and puts them on a map with the Ku Klux Klan advises the federal government on its "domestic terrorism" strategy. A chilling new video suggests that this Orwellian nightmare is our current reality under the Biden administration. Americans' own government apparently sees law-abiding conservatives as a "domestic terrorism threat," and nothing illustrates that quite so well as President Joe Biden's ties to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
,1,Parents Joe and Serena Wailes were shocked and horrified to discover that their 11-year-old daughter had been assigned to not only room but also share a bed with a boy on her school trip.

In an interview with The Daily Signal, the Wailes share their experience in detail — how their daughter felt, how the school trip chaperones handled the matter, and what they want from the school district moving forward.
,1,White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre doesn’t often call on James Rosen to ask questions at her briefings. But when Newsmax’s chief White House correspondent gets an opportunity, he makes the most of it.
“If you can do it well, you can make news,” Rosen explained to “The Daily Signal Podcast.”
The veteran reporter, who got his start in local news before becoming a national correspondent, has covered his share of Washington, D.C., press conferences—from the State Department to Congress and now the White House.
Just days before Thanksgiving, on Nov. 20, Rosen was pleasantly surprised that Jean-Pierre called his name.
“I might regret it, but go ahead,” she told him.
Rosen proceeded to ask about President Joe Biden’s “dismal job approval ratings.” Jean-Pierre’s answer surprised members of the White House press corps, Rosen said, because she admitted that “we’re not going to change the minds of Americans.”
The Daily Signal Executive Editor Rob Bluey asked Rosen about that exchange and other topics on this episode of “The Daily Signal Podcast.”

,1,Andrew Biggio was excited to show his neighbor, a WWII veteran, the M1 Garand rifle he had recently purchased. The weapon was the most common rifle used in WWII, and Biggio thought his elderly neighbor would appreciate holding the gun.
“When I put that rifle into his hands and he raised it into his shoulder and started waving it around the room and pointing and smiling, and we talked about the Battle of Okinawa for like three hours,” Biggio, a Marine veteran himself, recounts.
Biggio was in awe of the stories his elderly neighbor had just shared with him. The rifle had not only triggered memories in the veteran’s mind, but acted like a microphone, propelling the man to describe his war experiences in detail.
Biggio asked his neighbor to sign the rifle becasue he wanted to remember the stories he had just been told, and this gave Biggio the idea to find other WWII veterans and ask them to sign the M1 Garand rifle.
Today, “I have 320 names on that rifle,” Biggio says. “You can’t even see the wooden stalk. The whole rifle’s full of white ink names.”
But the majority of the soldiers who have held the rifle have done much more than signed it, they described their war stories in detail while grasping the weapon, stories which Biggio has compiled into two book.
His first book, “The Rifle: Combat Stories from America’s Last WWII Veterans, Told Through an M1 Garand,” was released in 2021 but could not hold all veteran stories. In September, Biggio released the project’s second edition, “The Rifle 2: Back to the Battlefield.”
Biggio joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to share some of the stories of the WWII veterans he has had the privilege of meeting and writing about.

,1,Update: Sometime between 11:52 a.m. Monday and 9:54 a.m. Tuesday, the SPLC changed the statement to read, "The tragedy has only continued as Palestinian civilians in Gaza — many of whom are children — have been killed by airstrikes and cut off from food, clean water, medical care and life-saving supplies."
The SPLC swapped the words “targeted with” for “killed by.” This small change altered the moral aspect of the sentence — turning an accusation that Israel had targeted civilians into a statement of fact that airstrikes had killed children.
,1,Dinesh D’Souza’s newest film, “Police State,” chronicles the real-life stories of everyday Americans who have endured the wrath of a weaponized government and of the whistleblowers who are exposing its abuse of power.

Ahead of the Mar-a-Lago screening, D’Souza spoke with The Daily Signal about why he embarked on this project and how he hopes the film will awaken Americans to this troubling reality.
