In a surprising move, former Republican Representative Liz Cheney and her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, announced they would be voting for Kamala Harris. Liz Cheney made the statement during a speech at the Texas Tribune Festival, expressing concern over Donald Trump’s threat to democracy. She claimed that her father believes Trump is the most dangerous individual in American history, a sentiment echoed by Cheney herself in recent interviews.
In response, Tulsi Gabbard, a US Army Reserve officer, criticized Dick Cheney for his role in the Iraq War, pointing out the devastation it caused in the Middle East, the rise of ISIS, and his support for controversial torture practices.
