0:14 Wind turbine repurposed into home – It’s built from the control box of a Vattenfall turbine which stood in an Austrian wind farm for 20 years. Most wind farm nacelles today are much larger. But a team from architecture collective Superuse Studios, working with Blade-Made, chose one of the smallest to prove that the concept of a tiny turbine home could work.
1:57 Robot makes its conducting debut – The 3-armed robot performed in a concert in Germany, leading the specially written Semiconductor’s Masterpiece. The piece features 3 wildly diverging time signatures. The orchestra’s artistic director says the robot is not intended to replace humans but to perform complex music too difficult for a person to conduct.
3:41 Europe’s largest Marine Protected Area – It covers almost 300,000 km2 of the ocean floor and encompasses several vulnerable marine ecosystems. Half the new MPA is fully protected, meaning no fishing or extractive activities are allowed. While the other half is highly protected which restricts activities like fishing.
6:41 4 ways to maximize cybersecurity – Cyber insecurity is one of the biggest risks facing the world. As technology evolves and spreads, cyber resilience becomes more important than ever. Cyber resilience is an organization’s ability to minimize the impact of significant cyber incidents on its primary goals and objectives.

0:15 AI robot zaps weeds while saving crops – It’s called Concentrated Light Autonomous Weeding and Scouting or CLAWS for short. CLAWS uses AI-powered image processing to identify the crops, then targets weeds around the crop with blasts of concentrated light. This gets rid of unwanted intruders without damaging either crops or soil.
1:52 5 ways bioeconomy affects daily living – The bioeconomy uses renewable resources from land or sea to produce food, energy, and other resources. It focuses on leveraging nature's processes and products to create sustainable economic outputs. The bioeconomy is already a part of our daily lives, influencing various sectors and industries.
6:08 Iceland sees benefit of a 4-day work week – The Nordic nation of 380,000 is rolling out a new way of working. Between 2020 and 2022, 51% of Iceland’s workers accepted an offer of shorter hours, such as a 4-day week for no loss of pay. The shift has had a positive impact on work-life balance and personal stress, new research shows.
8:17 Restored Amazon ecosystems beat logging – Amazon Sacred Headwaters Alliance is fighting to safeguard 35 million hectares of rainforest through a collaboration between 30 Indigenous nations of the Amazon basin. There’s an economic case for protecting the Amazon, says Atossa Soltani, Director of Global Strategy, Amazon Sacred Headwaters Alliance.

,1,Donald Trump revealed Wednesday he knows his vice presidential pick already, even though he wouldn’t say who it was. The former president has choice words about Chris Christie dropping out of the race earlier in the day. And he signaled again that he thinks abortion is a political liability for Republicans.
Those were among the highlights of an hourlong Fox News town hall Wednesday night moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. Trump was pressed on everything from his authoritarian rhetoric — “I am not going to be a dictator,” he declared — to millions in payments his businesses received from foreign governments during his first term.

,1,John Fetterman will win the Pennsylvania Democratic Senate primary, ABC News projects, capping a bizarre final few days of the campaign after the lieutenant governor suffered a stroke last week.
Fetterman checked into a hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on Friday as he was on his way to a campaign event. Fetterman has said his stroke was caused by atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat that's potentially serious but treatable. He has been in the hospital ever since, and he underwent a successful nearly three-hour surgery on Tuesday to implant a pacemaker that includes a defibrillator.
While the hospital stay injected a level of uncertainty into the race, Fetterman had long been the frontrunner, holding a steady polling lead over US Rep. Conor Lamb and state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta.
