Urbana–Champaign: A College Town or a Ghetto!? ? | Juvenile Shot + Haiti Projects | Hood Documentary

Urbana–Champaign Hood Documentary | A raw look inside The Haiti Projects and the story of a juvenile shot in the head. Featuring the role of JDC (Juvenile Detention Center) and the struggles facing youth in Urbana–Champaign, this documentary explores tragedy, survival, and the hope still alive in the community. Known as a college town (home to the University of Illinois), Urbana–Champaign is often seen for its academics, campus life, and Big Ten culture. But behind the image of a thriving university city lies another reality — one of poverty, violence, and communities fighting for change. We give an inside look on The Juvenile Detention Center + MULTIPLE HOUSING PROJECTS: Oakwood Terrace , Scottswood & The Hell Hole ! From the streets to the projects, we shine light on what’s happening in Urbana–Champaign — a story of resilience, unity, and bringing hope where it’s needed most. ✊? This is bigger than a vlog — it’s about real lives, real pain, and real change. ? Subscribe & join the movement: ?
