Se existe uma forma legítima que os libertários aceitam o protesto em um mundo pró-capitalista, não coercitivo, é o boicote. De fato, é o protesto mais pacífico e provavelmente mais eficiente de todos. Boicote consiste num grupo de pessoas que são contrárias a posições de outras, pararem de fazer negócio com aquelas.
Em um mundo dominado por máfias coercitivas, que não conhecem outros meios além de chicotear pessoas pacíficas até sua submissão. Que se acham no direito de decidir por outras pessoas e impor sua vontade coercitivamente sobre todos, lógico com grandes ganhos pessoais para os reis do gado no processo. E que, apesar de todo esse poder, são incapazes de resolver os problemas mais simples. O boicote surge como algo revolucionário. Um poder muito maios do que qualquer voto.

Numa live de 18 de agosto de 2019, a deputada federal parasita, Caroline de Toni, disse ao divulgador anarcocapitalista, Paulo Kogos, que o estado de Santa Catarina repassa à união R$ 79 bilhões, e recebe de volta apenas R$ 10 bilhões. De Toni não citou esta cifra com o intuito de justificar a secessão deste estado, mas para ilustrar o porquê de o sentimento secessionista estar se tornando presente nos brasileiros. De Toni explica que Santa Catarina tem, com os R$ 79 bilhões integrais, orçamento para, por exemplo, manter reformada a malha rodoviária do estado, como estendê-la, mas depende de autorização (leia-se verba) da união para isto, bem como todo o restante das necessidades do estado.
A partir desta fala da parasita federal, um quadro desalentador surge. Se o estado extorque R$ 79 bilhões, e vive dum orçamento de R$ 10 bilhões, houvesse a secessão, não se daria, necessariamente, a redução do poder de tributar do ente estatal, como sustentam muitos libertários. Haveria tal redução do poderio da máfia da união, posto não exerceria o monopólio da força sobre um ente federado.
