The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it struck a Hezbollah command centre in southern Lebanon in response to rocket fire on northern Israel. The IDF said it is responding with artillery shelling after more rockets were fired from Lebanon at the north. Two people have been killed and several people have been injured in an Israeli bombing of the Abasan al-Kabira area. The IDF said its 98th Division continued to battle Hamas in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, with the Air Force carrying out strikes on the terror group’s sites. The US army will sell Israel $106.5 million worth of tank shells after the Biden administration used its emergency authority, the Pentagon said. The approval is for a potential sale of 120mm M830A1 High Explosive Anti-Tank Multi-Purpose with Tracer (MPAT) tank cartridges and related equipment.

The assailant, 46-year-old Samir Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, ambushed the bus, shattering its windshield with over a dozen bullet holes. Israeli forces neutralised the assailant near the Ariel settlement. Hamas described the attack as a heroic operation.
In Gaza, Israeli airstrikes killed at least 40 Palestinians, including casualties in the Nuseirat refugee camp and Beit Lahiya. Medics recovered 19 bodies from northern Nuseirat and more fatalities were reported across Gaza. Israeli military operations disrupted rescue efforts as tanks entered and withdrew from northern Nuseirat.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem declared a "great victory" in Lebanon following a ceasefire. He emphasised coordination with the Lebanese army to enhance defensive capabilities. Separately, the Israeli army reported targeting a Hezbollah rocket launcher in southern Lebanon, citing ceasefire violations.
In Israel, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi hinted at resignation after October 7 attack investigations, pledging accountability and personal decisions once the probe concludes.

The agreement has held through more than a year of soaring regional tensions unleashed by Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack into southern Israel. But Israel’s devastating retaliatory offensive in Gaza and its invasion of Lebanon, after months of fighting with the Hezbollah militant group, has stoked anger among Emiratis, Arab nationals and others living in the UAE.

Residents in Wimbledon say they "heard a huge bang" before flames were seen coming from the double-decker.
Shocking photos show the blaze engulfing part of the road after the street had been cordoned off.
Locals have been warned to keep their windows and doors shut because of the smoke.
One witness, Max Pashley, told CityAM: "We heard a huge bang. We were terrified."

,1,Video obtained by Reuters captured a chaotic scene where members of the Maldives parliament traded kicks and fought with opposition lawmakers near the Speaker's chair, while others shouted from the floor and the sounds of toy trumpets rang out.
The session descended into chaos when the main Opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) decided to withhold parliamentary approval for some members of President Mohamed Muizzu's cabinet ahead of the key vote on the Cabinet, according to local media reports.
Subsequently, pro-government MPs initiated a protest, obstructing the parliamentary sitting from proceeding, the reports said.
Reuters was able to confirm the location by the color, design on the walls and the placement of a lighting fixture and speaker which matched with file imagery. Local media reported MP Abdullah Shaheem Abdul Hakeem was injured during a violent altercation between pro-government MPs and oppositions on Sunday. Reuters couldn’t independently verify when the videos were filmed.

,1,For years, Hungary looked to America as an example of freedom, but now it might be time for the U.S. to take notes from Hungary, according to Shea Bradley-Farrell.
Bradley-Farrell, president of Counterpoint Institute, recently spent several months in Hungary doing research for her new book. While in the nation formerly controlled by the Soviet Union, Bradley-Farrell says she found herself often having a similar conversation with Hungarians.
“Hungarians told me over and over, ‘the rhetoric coming out of the United States reminds us of our Soviet era,’” Bradley-Farrell recalled. “And the more I dug into that, the more that I realized that the things that we’re dealing with here and the so-called progressive agenda, the woke agenda, the Biden administration, they’re directly out of the playbook of communism,” she says.
In her new book, “Last Warning to the West: Hungary’s Triumph Over Communism and the Woke Agenda,” Bradley-Farrell explains a roadmap for how America can correct course and learn from our friends in Hungary at this moment in history.

,1,Public workers in Northern Ireland are taking part in a mass one-day strike to protest over public sector pay, a move expected to bring widespread disruption to the region.
As many as 170,000 workers from 17 unions — including public transport staff, nurses, civil servants and teachers — will walk out Thursday in a coordinated action billed by unions as Northern Ireland’s biggest strike in over 50 years. Workers are calling for pay increases to bring their incomes into line with the rest of the UK.
The strike has had a huge impact on activity, with buses and trains halted, schools closed and health services disrupted. The Department of Health posted on the social media platform X that “all aspects of health and social care are impacted and there will be delays for those seeking treatment.”
The dispute has also become tangled up in the long-running political deadlock in Northern Ireland. The region hasn’t had a functioning devolved government since early 2022, when the Democratic Unionist Party withdrew from the power-sharing executive over a post-Brexit trade deal that they say undermines their position within the UK.

Sergeant-major Uriel Avaid Silverman, 23, from the Kirithi Brigade, took his unit into a house filled with Hamas gunmen in Khan Younis, where a fellow soldiers was being held. They pursued the Hamas terror cell through the building, managing to kill eight militants and rescue the injured soldier. However, Silverman was killed leading his men into battle and three others were hurt. The battle took place in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, where most of the fighting is now taking place. #UrielAvaid Silverman #Hero #silverman
