Meanwhile, House Oversight Democrat Greg Stanton saying QUOTE I respect President Biden, but I think he got this one wrong.
Congress is back this week following their Thanksgiving break. The Senate gaveled in today at 3pm. They'll work on more of the President's judicial nominations. The House is back tomorrow. On their agenda—a possible vote on whether to release the Ethics Committee's report of former Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz. And of course, we are just 18 days away from the next government funding deadline when Congress must pass a new federal spending bill to avert a shutdown.
The Supreme Court heard a case today on whether the Food and Drug Administration unlawfully blocked the sale of some vaping products. The agency has denied more than a million applications of candy or fruit flavored products as part of wider crackdown saying they appeal too much to kids. But vaping companies say the FDA unfairly disregarded arguments that those flavors can help adults quit smoking without increased risk to kids.

,1,Charges were filed against three white boaters who allegedly assaulted a Black ferry co-captain, sparking a racially charged melee at Riverfront Park in Montgomery, Alabama, on Saturday night that was captured on bystander videos that went viral.
Montgomery Police Department Chief Darryl Albert identified the victims in this case as co-captain of the Harriet II and dock employee Damien Pickett, a Black male. He also mentioned an unnamed 16-year-old white male juvenile who was allegedly struck by the owners and operators of the private boat that was blocking the riverboat from docking.
Richard Roberts, a 48-year-old white male, is facing two outstanding warrants for assault in the third degree, Allan Todd, a 23-year-old white male is facing one warrant for assault in the third degree and Zachary Shipman, a 25-year-old white male, is facing one warrant for assault in the third degree.

,1,The World Health Organization (WHO) on January 2 released footage of extensive damage at the Al-Amal hospital in Gaza following missile strikes, leaving it with debris lying in its corridors and missing walls.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), which operates the hospital in Khan Younis and a training centre in the same building, attributed the attacks to Israeli forces and said at least five civilians, including a five-day-old infant, had been killed.
Ayadil Saparbekov, a team leader for health emergencies at the WHO, said the hospital sheltered over 14,000 internally displaced people and was struck twice on Tuesday,
Posting on social media platform X, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus condemned the attack on Al-Amal and said hospitals and health workers needed to be protected under international humanitarian law.
