June 18, 2018... A renowned American rapper, 20-year-old XXXTentacion, known by his real name Jahseh Onfroy, affectionately referred to as Triple X, tragically lost his life on this day. He was shot and killed outside Reva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, FL.
In what appeared to be a premeditated ambush, two masked gunmen approached Triple X's BMW and opened fire, ultimately claiming the rapper's life. The assailants swiftly fled the scene in an SUV.
The suspects involved in this horrific crime were later identified as Robert Allen, Trayvon Newsome, Dedrick Williams, and Michael Boatwright. Surveillance footage revealed Dedrick Williams and Robert Allen at Reva Motorsports simultaneously with Triple X just before the tragic incident.
Following an extensive investigation, all the suspects were apprehended, leading to the subsequent interrogations.

In April 2023, Dedrick Williams, Trayvon Newsome, and Michael Boatwright were convicted of First Degree Murder and armed robbery. Dedrick Williams and Trayvon Newsome received life sentences for their involvement in the murder, while Michael Boatwright, identified as the triggerman, was sentenced to two consecutive life terms.
Robert Allen opted for a plea deal and cooperated as a witness against the other three defendants. He pleaded guilty to Second Degree Murder, receiving a 7-year prison sentence, with credit for the 5 years he already spent in jail during the legal proceedings. His expected release is in 2025.
