The Federal Aviation Administration investigated nearly 5,000 pilots who are suspected of falsifying records about mental health disorders and other medical issues. It comes as an off-duty pilot allegedly tried to shut down a plane's engines mid-flight. Cops say the off-duty pilot, Joseph Emerson, told them he had "consumed psychedelic mushrooms" and "had not slept in 40 hours." Emerson was later charged with 83 counts of attempted murder.
