Lawyers for Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake will be back in court on Dec. 22 after her campaign filed a lawsuit challenging the results of the midterm election.
Lake's team called the director of the Big Data Poll Richard Baris to the witness stand, who claims between 25 and 40,000 voters were disenfranchised on Election Day because of issues at polling locations.
A witness for the defense argued that there is no evidence the printing and tabulator issues caused disenfranchisement.
The hearing is expected to wrap up Thursday afternoon.

,1,Crazy video captured a felon attacking a district court judge in Clark County, Nevada.
According to FOX 5 in Las Vegas, the incident happened as Judge Mary Kay Holthus sentenced Deobra Redden on a charge of attempted battery with substantial bodily harm.
In the video, you can see Redden's attorney asking Holthus for probation for his client, to which the judge said, "I think it's time he got a taste of something else."
That's when, outside of the video frame, you can hear Redden yell expletives, then he lunged over the judge's bench, and landed directly on top of the judge, causing her to fall to the floor.
In a statement released to FOX 5, "We commend the heroic acts of her staff, law enforcement, and all others who subdued the defendant. The court remains committed to a safe and secure courthouse and courtrooms. We are reviewing all our protocols and will do whatever is necessary to protect the judiciary, the public and our employees."
Officials added Judge Holthus experienced some injuries and her condition is being monitored. The marshal sustained injuries and has been transported to the hospital. Our understanding is that he is in stable condition.
Redden is now facing a new round of charges including one count of battery on a protected person resulting in substantial bodily harm, two counts of battery on a protected person, and one additional count of battery.
Redden is expected back in court on the new charges on Thursday.

,1,On Friday, October 13, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the public from Tel Aviv. He expressed his determination to completely eliminate Hamas and described the ongoing counteroffensive as just the initial phase. Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is fiercely engaged in this fight. Here is more footage from Jerusalem and Gaza as the war continues
Palestinians struggled Saturday to flee from areas of Gaza targeted by the Israeli military while grappling with a growing water and medical supply shortage ahead of an expected land offensive a week after Hamas’ bloody, wide-ranging attack into Israel.
Israel renewed calls on social media and in leaflets dropped from the air for Gaza residents to move south, while Hamas urged people to stay in their homes. The U.N. and aid groups have said such a rapid exodus along with Israel’s siege of the territory would cause untold human suffering.
The evacuation directive covers an area of 1.1 million residents or about half the territory’s population. The Israeli military said "hundreds of thousands" of Palestinians had heeded the warning and headed south. It gave Palestinians a six-hour window that ended Saturday afternoon to travel safely within Gaza along two main routes.
A week after Hamas’ attack, Israel was still working to assess the casualties. With special rabbinic approval, workers at a military base in central Israel continued the grueling task of identifying the bodies of the Israelis and foreign nationals who were killed, mostly civilians. Work is normally halted on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath.

,1,A sharply divided Supreme Court on Friday effectively killed President Joe Biden’s $400 billion plan to cancel or reduce federal student loan debts for millions of Americans.
The 6-3 decision, with conservative justices in the majority, said the Biden administration overstepped its authority with the plan, and it leaves borrowers on the hook for repayments that are expected to resume by late summer.
Biden was to announce a new set of actions to protect student loan borrowers and would address the court decision later Friday, said a White House official. The official was not authorized to speak publicly ahead of Biden’s expected statement on the case and spoke on condition of anonymity.
The court held that the administration needed Congress' endorsement before undertaking so costly a program. The majority rejected arguments that a bipartisan 2003 law dealing with student loans, known as the HEROES Act, gave Biden the power he claimed.
"Six States sued, arguing that the HEROES Act does not authorize the loan cancellation plan. We agree," Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the court.

,1,A former U.S. intelligence official and Air Force veteran claims a top-secret program is withholding evidence of alien spacecraft.
David Charles Grusch, a 36-year-old decorated former combat officer in Afghanistan, served the National Reconnaissance Office, acting as their representative to Congress’ Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force from 2019-2021. At the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, he also served from late 2021 to July 2022 as co-lead of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) analysis and its representative to the task force, which was recently renamed the All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office.
The Debrief first reported Monday that Grusch said he filed a whistleblower complaint to Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) on classified information that he insists proves the recoveries of partial fragments through and up to intact vehicles have been made for decades through the present day by the U.S. government, its allies and defense contractors.
The recoveries have been determined through analysis to be "of exotic origin (non-human intelligence, whether extraterrestrial or unknown origin) based on the vehicle morphologies and material science testing and the possession of unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures," Grusch said.

,1,The daughter of US President Joe Biden, Ashley Biden, was roasted online during a speech on Wednesday.
President Biden’s second child joined her mother and First Lady Jill Biden at the White House for the Pride Month celebration.
It was during her speech at the celebration that users on X mocked the 43-year-old’s attempt to say LGBTQ.
“She's definitely Biden's daughter,” jokingly wrote one user.
Ashley joined her mother on the South Lawn where Pride decorations were seen all over the White House.
The 43-year-old’s speech called for children to feel “loved, accepted and supported” and spoke about how many are bullied.
