To keep them dry, visitors safe, and the 91,000-ton monument next door standing tall, they encased the subterranean levels in two walls, with eight feet of porous stone fill in between, to catch and hold any water that might penetrate the foundation. It was an ingenious solution, but for builders in the federal District of Columbia, dealing with a shallow water table is nothing new. When President George Washington chose this idyllic spot to be the national capital, it was a land of farms and woods, rich with surface water. Small brooks trickled into streams, like Rock Creek. Marshes and tidal flats swelled and receded as the 14,700 square-mile Potomac basin drained through the District and mixed with the tidal flow of the Chesapeake Bay–the largest estuary in the United States. But as the city's boulevards and grand buildings were constructed over the past two-and-a-half centuries, 70% of these natural streams have disappeared: diverted into sewers, culverts, or filled in and paved over. Tiber Creek flowed through what has become the National Mall. First, it was converted into a canal, and then piped into sewers buried beneath Federal Triangle. Today, this group of large neoclassical buildings - between Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues - is home to numerous large government agencies. It’s also the lowest point in downtown. In 2006 it rained heavily for an entire week, leaving the Triangle submerged, causing tens of millions of dollars in damage and disrupting government operations. It wasn’t the first time this has happened here. Experts fear the most extreme storm would put the American History Museum under 16 feet of water. Engineers have taken steps to protect the buildings, like installing temporary barriers, retractable gates, and raising core utilities out of their basements. There’s even now a temporary levee that’s trucked over and dropped in along the Mall for added protection ahead of big storms. But throughout the rest of DC, an estimated 16,000 homes and businesses have had little protection from flooding when it rains. Some residents have water gush in from the street, others confront it bubbling up from their toilets when old sewers overflow and long-buried “zombie” streams gurgle back to life. On the southernmost edge of the district, along the Potomac, another major flooding threat looms. Over the past century, the waterline has effectively risen four feet, a combination of sea level rise and the land sinking under the weight of development. I’ve definitely noticed the water getting a little higher every year. The area where the water is is actually a portion of the seawall that has settled over the years. During high tide, when the ocean pushes the Chesapeake Bay further up the Potomac, 250 million gallons of river water enter the Tidal Basin. But it was constructed in 1897, it can no longer contain the river at high tide, causing the walking paths around the monuments and iconic cherry trees to flood twice a day like clockwork. When I was young I was known as an ugly duckling I TALK too much and the elders didn't like small people with big ideas, they wanted us to be grounded or 2 feet on the ground not always floating in the air. This is a secret, since young I told God I will nurture my soul and I asked God to give me the physical beauty:) So you see you must pray to God because it is magical! In short, Capitalism has KILLED GOD!! Hard to believe but it is a true fact because GREED KILLED IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD!!

When you ask me what's my identity, my reply will be, I'm a soul, child of God. Being a child of God, you have gratitude with abundant of love and compassion, unlike some religious beliefs that propagate believing in God will bring about more financial wealth. Most importantly, being a child of God we are guided by our Consciousness=GOD. Thus, when we see wrong our consciousness will compel us to make it right for the love of God. To love God is to strive for greater humanity this was what my teacher had taught us. You love God in your heart but your action and deeds will profess your love for God.

I never believe my children are mine or for them to look after me at old age instead I believe God brought them here through me and their existence is to make this world a more beautiful place. To do so, I inculcated the value of sharing and caring in them since young. I constantly remind them that honesty and sincerity are their best friends. The world lacks true friendship and why is that so? Unfortunately, the capitalist world which is a materialistic society that we live in today has a big role to play in making it so.

I was told by my teacher that communicating with the Almighty God is not through the religious books alone but through our consciousness. When we developed our consciousness, we will be able to reach our sub-conscious mind, which is in direct contact with Almighty God. Have you heard people talking about the inner voice? If you have, that is the voice of God. In the late 60s, my teacher was afraid that the capitalist path that the government had taken will rob us of our soul as in the capitalistic world, the winner takes all and the bottom line is raised above everything. Apathy and compassion will be neglected and we will have an uncaring society because the individualistic self will always be ranked top in priority. THAT'S WHAT CAPITALISM IS ALL ABOUT "THE SELF"!!!!!!!!

It is indeed saddening to realise that many ruling powers in the third world countries in the 60's and even now are sold to the belief that capitalism is the right way to go as that equates to Progress and Success, with little consideration for other aspects of life that are equally important. In the late 60's my teacher told us we must protect God's kingdom if not Satan will take over and then NO MORE WORLD left for all humanity because God only gave us One World. The late Lee Kuan Yew didn't believe in God and my mother and teacher were not happy with his questioning of God presence and swept God under the carpet=NO DISCUSSION, PERIOD!!

My teacher (Mr. Tony Wong he is still alive.) told us they cannot changed the system maybe our generation can make the difference and I heard God's call for me to make the world as it should be. It was not an easy journey but teacher said that when you surrendered to God He will provide and He definitely did. When you love God dearly or with all your might nothing is impossible because the impossible is for the reachable.

Except they're the kind of endorsements that aren't exactly going to make more people vote for you, including Liz and Dick Cheney, as well as Vladimir Putin and the IRS Agents Union. Imagine thinking that helps you, but her people are touting these things. The Lincoln Project has even put out a cartoon ad featuring Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Dick Cheney. I'm sure they thought it was clever, but I don't think they realized -- because they're perpetually clueless -- what a great ad for former President Donald Trump this is. The ad has Sanders calling Cheney a "warmonger" and Cheney in return calling Sanders a "commie." -- The Lincoln Project @ProjectLincoln: “Bernie Sanders and Dick Cheney are united on something… that tells us all we need to know.”

"I'm still on the left," Sanders says, while Cheney says he's still "on the right," as they play poker together. "But if we can agree on Trump," Sanders declares. "It means something big," Cheney replies. "Bigger than policy," Sanders says. "Bigger than ideology," Cheney responds. "We're both voting for Kamala Harris," Bernie explains. "Because it's a choice between America," Cheney says. "Or Trump." Sanders finishes. So they really think endorsements from a "commie" and a "warmonger" are good things, that's what they're telling us? That tells us something all right, that when it comes to keeping the establishment candidate they will do anything, throw under any principle or ideology, to keep the oligarchy in power. Not to mention the execrable Lincoln Project endorsing Harris. What an ad for Trump that is. When all the bad come together, you know to vote for the other side.

But that wasn't the only cringey ad for Harris. "Nanny" actress Fran Drescher posted one on TikTok that was sort of a spoof on the "Nanny." But again, like the ad above, it came out looking like a mocking of Harris, "The Kammy." -- Libs of TikTok @libsoftiktok: “I saw it so now you have to. Can’t you feel the joy?” -- This was a hilarious rewrite of history. "She was working at the White House, what a cool VP." Um, no. She was practically invisible except for her failure at the border and until they had to elevate her to the nominee she was the most unpopular VP in recent memory, more unpopular than the four preceding VPs. "Then Biden stopped his campaign." Again, no. Biden was shoved to the side after a concerted effort to push him out by the Democrat elite because they knew he was going to lose. So they disregarded the votes in the primary of more than 14 million people. This wasn't a "George Washington" sacrifice, it was a desperate coup to try to help them win. They didn't even really care about his cognitive decline, they used it to shove him aside as a candidate but then left him there in office. "She's got brains, she's got balls," it continues, but somehow, I don't think she's demonstrated that she has either. And do they know what a woman is, that women don't have certain equipment? The "girl who turned black." Okay, I'm not even going to go there. Then again all they have is the empty "hope and joy" mantra, and even that's recycled and stolen from Barack Obama.

"Republicans are switching," it contends. Yeah, no, Adam Kinzinger and the Cheneys don't count. And if you want to talk switching, have you been checking all the former Democrats who have been fleeing to the Republicans because the Democrats have become crazy, including Elon Musk as well as black, Hispanic, and young voters? It even has the gall to claim that she's going to "save democracy" -- after disregarding the primary vote and shaping out Joe Biden. Not to mention trying to keep opponents off the ballot. They had a list at the end of people involved in that cringe-arama and they all should be embarrassed. None of this fiction told Americans why they should vote for Kamala Harris. As some pointed out, "hope and joy" doesn't feed their families. Some also laughed at how this was supposed to be pro-Harris, but It came across more as a mockery of her. Please listen. Cities are not our natural environment. Cities were conceived and organized by others, of a common but diverse origin, brothers in the same sense as half-brothers are brothers.

These are diverse expressions of what it is to be a man.

Yet, in the end, we must agree to find one common fate and that can only be with and through our Mother, because we have different Fathers.

In our biology, our Mother expresses herself through our mitochondria, tiny semi-independent organelles in each cell, that have their own separate DNA and act as the power generation centers of the cells.

In our psyches, our Mother expresses herself through our impulses of compassion and nurturance, patience, unselfishness, and acceptance.

When these two aspects of our nature, our heart (biology) and our mind (psyche) come together as one, a third aspect comes into play -- the third aspect is the immortal spirit, or Oversoul, which manifests
whatever the heart and mind have agreed upon.

The City of Man is this "impossible" resolution -- otherwise known as the New Jerusalem, in which all the diverse expressions of man can be welcome and find peace, through their common love of their Mother.

The Mother is represented in many ways -- as Durga the Mother Goddess in India, as Mary the Mother of Jesus, as Hecate, as Hera, as Juno, as all the Mother Goddesses that have ever existed.

What we are subconsciously aware of is that we have a Mother in common who loves all of us and wants to see all of us happy; we can only achieve this by loving our Mother in return and by cultivating her expression in ourselves.

It is through the patience, acceptance, long-suffering, selfless-ness, faith, nurturance, compassion, sacrifice, humility, generosity, strength, and love of the Mother that we can give birth to the City of Man, the New Jerusalem, and end the Kali Yuga Age of illusion, delusion, and deceit.
