,1,World Health Organization study shows that 47 lakh people died of corona in India. The controversy has begun after the organization's study report was released. That's because this figure is about ten times higher than the data stated by the Government of India. India has raised questions on the way to gather data, expressing objection to this. But it is also true that the World Health Organization is not the only one whose report says more deaths than government claims. Similar things have been said in the report of many organizations before this.
Discussion later on government's aggressive stance in this matter. First understand what the World Health Organization said in their report? What method did she adopt to raise the death data. The World Health Organization estimates that the Corona epidemic killed around one and a half crore people worldwide. The organization also claimed that many countries declared the number of people dying due to the epidemic due to political reasons.

Ic_ïaing the death toll around the world shows that the epidemic killed only 54 million people. This is the official record of different countries. While the World Health Organization assessment shows the deaths were nearly three times higher than official figures. India has the highest number of these. According to the official data of the Government of India, the number of deaths due to Corona in the country is 5,23,975. If the report of WHO 'excess Covid death' report it is true, there is a big mess in the death count.
Question can these figures be dismissed from the end? Apparently this can't be done. That's because the World Health Organization used the scientific method to figure out the deaths. First of all identified the states most affected by Corona. Then used the extra death method for this assessment. Additional mortality means what was the mortality rate in an area before the pandemic. Meaning how many individuals have died in that area in general and how many people died in that area after the pandemic. These statistics include people who died not directly from Covid, but due to the effects of Covid, such as people who could not find a hospital for treatment and died.
Government of India is calling these figures unbelievable and fascinating. The government has issued a statement and expressed objection to it. WHO has issued an additional mortality rate estimation despite India's objection to the process, procedure and results, the statement said. The fact is that in this case, the model of the organization and its validity were both wrong.
The question is can the government claims be trusted? Considering this we will have to assess the situation during the second wave of this epidemic that continued from April to June last year. Then the country and the world saw the outrageous situation in different states of the country during that time. People were suffering premature death due to lack of oxygen, beds, hospitals, medicine and treatment. There was a shortage of essential medicines. There was a shortage of space for a funeral. People saw how thousands of dead bodies were buried without proper funeral in Allahabad and its surrounding areas. Hundreds of dead bodies flowing in many rivers including the Ganga were showing how horrible the situation must have been.
The question arises in such a way that how to trust the government figures. The reasons for the death of the one who died were not discovered. Leave villages and small cities, initiatives have not been taken to find out the cause of death even in metropolis. Since there was no space in the hospital, many people died at homes. In simple words, the death toll of the government is limited to the death in the hospital. During the second wave, there was long queue for the funeral at the crematorium ghat. All the crematoriums were flowers. Several reports will reveal the deaths of many times than normal days.
