,1,In this video, we look at the structure and life-cycle of viruses. First we explore the size of viruses both relative to prokaryotic cells and also in terms of nanometres. We then look at the life-cycle of viruses and how this involves a host cell. We explore the structure of viruses and why scientists do not consider them to be living organisms.
This video is aimed at the UK A Level Biology specifications. Students studying International A Level Biology will need to check their specification.
,1,In this video, we look at communicable diseases and pathogens. First I explain what is meant by a communicable disease and by a pathogen. I then look at the features of four categories of pathogens: bacteria, viruses, fungi and proctoctista (which are also called protista).

In this video, we look at communicable and non-communicable diseases. We start by looking at the definitions of these and then explore examples where these diseases interact.
