,1,At the Anaheim event, Candace Owens was able to speak to hundreds of attendees, many of whom were excited to hear her message of empowerment. After her talk, she was approached by a number of people who wanted to thank her for being so bold and brave. One person in particular, a young woman, was so moved by Owens’ talk that she insisted on giving her a hug. Owens was not prepared for what happened next. In the middle of the embrace, the woman who had approached her pulled away, then proceeded to spit right in Owens’ face. In the middle of the spitting, the woman began shouting something. According to Owens, she said “You’re trash.”
