,Also: Skyborne Placements, Drone Training Course, T-45 Trainer Upgrades, NGPA Winter Expo Radek Wyrzykowski, now former Senior Program Manager over the EAA's Flight Proficiency Program, sent us his letter of resignation after the rumor mill began the usual gossip, assumptions, and tall tales. His work as Chief Flight Instructor presaged his upward trajectory as founder of the IMC Club International, until its acquisition by the EAA. His transition into a management role there saw an expansion of the club to VMC pilots as well. Wyrzykowski's statement is all we currently have to go on, and Wyrzykowski maintains that the resignation given to management included a 4-week notice and his immediate departure was not his choice. Loss of Control In-Flight is still the reigning king of safety issues to tackle. Worse yet, the forced pandemic-inspired grounding experienced by pilots around the world is expected to have a deleterious effect on pilot skill throughout the industry. Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) has publicized its 2022 goal of taking on the safety issue, leveraging their experience in Upset Prevention and Recovery Training to "Crush the Loss of Control In-flight Threat Globally." The FAA has opened a series of student internships throughout the network of air traffic facilities across the nation, where selected interns will join teams working on ATC missions and learning opportunities. The positions, in a break from the norm for interns, are paid with a salary range from $25,736 to $38,603, with variations in pay for the internship based on the duty station of the employee. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!! This episode of Airborne-Flight Training 02.17.22 is chock full of info in this Daily News Episode, Thursday, February 17th, 2022... Presented by Aero-TV veteran videographer and Airborne Host Holland Lee. Holland is supported by ANN Chief Videographer Nathan Cremisino, as well as ANN CEO/Editor-In-Chief Jim Campbell. ,Also: New Astronauts, Debrief Replay App, GrandView Pilots, Civil Air Patrol's 80th United Airlines announced the start of operations for its subsidiary, United Aviate Academy as 30 students began class on December 6 at Arizona's Phoenix Goodyear Airport. The class is 80% female or people of color, set to complete a rigorous year-long training program to set their careers on a course that will land them in a professional aviation position. Atlanta Technical College will open its Aviation Maintenance Airframe Certificate Program in 2022, with applications accepted now.The program will offer students a technical certificate of credit after 3 semesters of coursework. With a combination of aircraft airframe maintenance theory and practical application, the class offers students looking for a reliable, in-demand career track an affordable option. The dearth of aviation maintainers has been particularly noticeable in recent years, as demand remains undiminished with flagging graduate production. Skyborne Airline Academy celebrated the achievement of 2 recent ATPL UK graduates joining Flyby Technology as Beyond Line of Visual Sight Drone Operators. The students now put their training to use, supporting flight operations for an NHS trial to evaluate drug delivery for the Isle of Wight. The graduates, James Kirk and Adam Prince, have begun working on a project with Apian for the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
