The demonstrators oppose the government's suspension of talks on joining the European Union until 2028. The pro-Russian prime minister says Georgia will still seek membership, but on its own terms.

It said that Israel's acceptance of the court's jurisdiction was not required. Israel is not a member of the court, seated in The Hague in the Netherlands.
