People Get Ready 4 - Power of the Working Class

On March 25, 2023, Center for Political Education hosted its 4th People Get Ready conference. People Get Ready gathered organizers and activists from across the Bay Area of California to discuss analysis, strategy, and the fight to defeat authoritarianism and build more powerful left movements. The following breakout session, Power of the Working Class, featured Alejo from Trabajadores Unidos/ Workers United, Khadijah Kabba from National Nurses United, and Max Bell-Alper of North Bay Jobs with Justice. The session was moderated by Kung Feng. The session description was as follows: Increased strikes, union drives, and labor militancy have reflected a sizable shift in the power of labor organizing in recent years. How is activity in new sectors and workplaces opening new possibilities for building labor power?
