A force is a push or pull. There are several types, including: applied (from person or machine), tension (from string or cable), gravity (between masses), normal (perpendicular to surface), friction (moving across a surface), thrust (from pushing something the other way), drag (resistance from air or other fluid), buoyancy (from displacing a fluid), and lift (on wings moving through air).

,1,Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity (a = Îv/Ît). The unit for acceleration is m/s/s, or m/s^2. Acceleration is a vector with magnitude and direction. If velocity and acceleration point the same direction, the object is speeding up. If velocity and acceleration point opposite directions, the object is slowing down. Changing direction is also a form of acceleration.
Sections:
00:00 - Visualizing acceleration (Who wins the race?)
01:11 - What is acceleration?
02:54 - Acceleration can be tricky!
04:21 - Oil drop diagram and acceleration direction
07:40 - Acceleration when velocity is constant?
08:40 - Acceleration when speed is constant?

,1,An object's position specifies how far the object is from a reference point, and in what direction. The rate than an object's position changes is called velocity. Average velocity is calculated as change in position divided by change in time. Position and velocity are vector quantities. Average speed is calculated as distance travelled divided by time. Speed and distance are scalar quantities with no direction.
Sections:
00:00 - What is position?
02:31 - What are vectors?
03:31 - What is velocity?
05:03 - Visualizing velocity
07:01 - What is speed?

,1,This massive planet will melt your brain đ¤Ż. 434 light years from earth, the newborn world J1407B has a ring system that extends nearly 120,000,000 KM, making it 200x bigger than Saturnâs rings.
If Saturnâs were this massive, they would be easily visible from Earth and appear bigger than the full moon in the night sky.
One day, these rings will condense into a large family of moons, possibly hundreds of them, much like Saturn and Jupiter have today. Perhaps these planets were once home to enormous ring systems in their youth as well.
